Anadys says chief executive to step down

June 14 - Anadys Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ Stock Symbol ANDS) on Wednesday said Kleanthis Xanthopoulos, its chief executive officer and president, will resign at the end of 2006 or sooner if a replacement can be found before it.
Xanthopoulos has resigned to join a San Diego venture capital firm but will continue to serve on the board of Anadys, the company said in a statement.
